Another Alberta clipper will cross into Ohio late Monday, spreading more light snow into the region as it moves by.

What You Need To Know

  • The week begins with another clipper moving through
  • A warming trend gets underway by Tuesday
  • Rain will accompany a warm front late Wednesday
  • Temperatures to rebound into the 50s by late week

The holiday weekend ended with light to moderate snow falling across northern Ohio thanks to the first of two Alberta clippers moving across the Great Lakes. The second clipper will cross the area Monday evening.

On Monday, clouds will increase ahead of the next clipper. Light snow will spread across northern and parts of central Ohio Monday night into Tuesday. While the snow amounts will be light, the Snow Belt of northeast Ohio could pick up as much as 2 to 4 additional inches of snow.

By Tuesday, the weather pattern quiets down, although clouds will be a bit tough to get rid of. Some flurries or snow showers may linger in the Snow Belt.

Midweek will feature a warm front crossing into the state. This will bring in the milder air, but also a chance of rain showers by Wednesday evening.

By Thursday, temperatures will jump into the 50s across much of Ohio, melting away any snow still left on the ground. The unseasonably mild weather will stick around Friday, although cool slightly as we head into next weekend.
