CINCINNATI — The winter storm has put a damper on some weekend plans. But it hasn’t stopped people from braving the roads to travel, especially at the airport.

What You Need To Know

  • People are still traveling despite the winter storm
  • There were dozens of cancellations and delays at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport on Friday
  • Some travelers had to reschedule flights until Christmas Day
  • Others were stuck at the airport because of delayed flights and lack of transportation

All day Friday, people have been flying out of Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. There were dozens of delays and cancellations. Some people had to reschedule flights until Christmas, while others had to stay overnight at the airport.

One traveler’s flights were delayed at two airports, causing him to be late getting back home. And when he did arrive at CVG, he was stuck there with no ride home.

“An Uber was going to cost me about $80 and I couldn’t get one every half hour, all night long, couldn’t get out, still can’t get out with an Uber and now the roads are shut down because the bridge coming from Indiana over the Ohio River is shut down,” said Ted Storck.

If you’re looking to fly out of CVG or any major airport in Ohio, you’re encouraged to check your flight status before arriving. For more information click here
