Comfortably cool heading into August

Some patchy, light rain and drizzle will linger across southern Ohio tonight, but chances for storms are very low until around midday Sunday.

We’ll start off the month of August with comfortable and dry conditions tomorrow morning, with overnight lows in the upper 50s to low 60s, before a decent amount of morning sunshine sends temperatures back into the upper 70s to right around 80, still below average for this point in the year.

Around midday, a few showers and isolated storms begin to pop up in northern Ohio, then drift south headed into the afternoon. Coverage will still be relatively low, about 30% for most of the state.

Beyond that, we see a dry stretch of weather, and a cool one, too. We’ll see heat and humidity starting to work their way back in toward the end of the week.
