Increasing haze and rising temperatures will reduce air quality Saturday for southwest Ohio, including the Cincinnati metro area.

The Southwest Ohio Air Quality Agency issued an Air Quality Advisory Saturday for Butler, Clermont, Hamilton and Warren counties through midnight.

Children, adults and people with respiratory diseases should avoid outdoor exertion and limit time outdoors. 

There are a few steps you can take to help reduc ozone formation: 

  • Take the bus, carpool, bike, or walk instead of driving

  • Refuel your vehicle after 8 p.m. and tighten the gas cap

  • Do not allow your vehicle to idle

  • Combine trips or eliminate unnecessary vehicle trips

A cold front will move into southwest Ohio Sunday increasing rain chances and improving air quality.
