AVON, Ohio — Two students from Avon High School were selected to represent their school and community as the northeast Ohio region Week 4 Scholar Athletes of the Week.
Liz White is a member of Avon’s cross country, track and field and dance teams, serving as captain for both cross country and dance. Along with maintaining a 4.4 grade-point average, White is a member of the National Honor Society, Key Club and volunteers at nursing homes. She has been described as kind and caring, and as someone who always puts others before herself.
Dylan Zeman is a football player at Avon High School. He has been described by Coach Mike Elder as one of the best teammates he’s coached in all his years of coaching. Others have described Zeman as one of the most dedicated and hardworking athletes in the school. Along with maintaining a 4.0 GPA, Zeman is an active member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
