OHIO — President Joe Biden plans to visit Columbus, Ohio Tuesday as part of his “Help Is Here” tour to promote the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan.
The exact location and time is unknown.
In a White House press release, Biden plans to talk about how the plan “will lower health care costs for American families.” His visit comes close to the anniversary of the signing of the Affordable Care Act nearly 10 years ago.
This will be Biden’s first trip to Ohio as president. On Tuesday, he visited Pennsylvania and Vice President Kamala Harris went to Colorado to talk with families and small businesses.
Upcoming visits are planned in Georgia and Nevada, but dates are unknown.
Ohio is expected to receive $11 billion of relief from the plan, and stimulus checks began landing in bank accounts Wednesday. Qualifying individuals will receive up to $1,400, and qualifying families of four can receive up to $5,600. Click here to find out if you’re eligible.
