Widespread light showers and clouds are in the forecast for your Saturday.

What You Need To Know

  • Showers linger to start the holiday weekend
  • Highs are only in the 50s Saturday for most of Ohio
  • Weather is drying out and slowly warming back up by Memorial Day

Shower chances are likely on and off throughout the day, keeping highs well below average in the 50s.

A Wind Advisory is in place for parts of Northern Ohio right along the lakeshore, where gusts over 40 mph are likely. We’ll also see the continuation of high water levels and localized flooding along the lake with strong northeast winds in the forecast.

We’ll gradually warm for the duration of the holiday weekend with highs back in the 70s by Monday afternoon. Memorial Day also looks dry.

More rain chances hold off until mid-week, with chances for late-day storms returning Wednesday and remaining in play through the duration of the workweek.

Rough waters

A Gale Warning is in effect through Saturday morning on Lake Erie with sustained winds up to 30 knots from the northeast. Some gusts may reach as high as 50 knots.

The largest significant waves will be 4-11 feet with a potential maximum wave height of 14 feet.

Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. There is also the potential for lakeshore flooding along the southwest basin of Lake Erie.
