A cold front approaching the state this evening will continue to bring a threat for scattered showers and storms through Monday. Until the front crosses the area, it will remain quite warm and muggy.

The front is expected to slow down and then stall briefly as the remnants of Hurricane Ida move just south of the Ohio River Tuesday night into Wednesday. This will bring a return to rain across southern Ohio, which could be heavy at times.

Rainfall amounts across southern Ohio could range from 2 to 4 inches, with isolated higher amounts as Ida moves south of the state.

Once Ida moves east late Wednesday, skies will clear with dry, more comfortable weather expected for the state to end the week.
