We will be feeling cool to start things out this Sunday with temperatures in the 30s and 40s across the state.  Our skies will be clear to partly cloudy, with continued partly cloudy to partly sunny conditions into the afternoon. Highs today will reach the low and mid-60s.

What You Need To Know

  • Cooler than normal temperatures for now
  • Scattered showers fall today
  • Rain & snow are possible Wednesday morning
  • Milder weather arrives for the end of next week

A few isolated showers are possible by this afternoon and early evening as some weak energy impacts the state. Models have been focusing most of these showers across northeast and southwest Ohio. It won’t be a washout afternoon, but you’ll likely want the umbrella or windshield wipers at times.

A few more of those showers linger through the overnight under partly cloudy skies. Lows will fall to the 30s and 40s again.

Our workweek starts on a dry and sunny note with mild temperatures well into the 60s. A few afternoon showers and sprinkles are possible in northern Ohio, but much of the daytime will be quiet. Take advantage of the great weather because winter is going to make a return by the midweek. Don’t put those plants in the ground just yet!

A strong low pressure system will be pushing in from the southwest, which will begin as rain showers or an icy mix for Tuesday evening in northwest Ohio. A couple of models have indicated a brief window of freezing rain. Cold air will rush in and change things over to snow for much of the state before Wednesday morning.

Minor accumulation looks possible, especially in northwest Ohio. This will likely be contained to elevated surfaces such as grass, cars and outdoor porches. Snow accumulation or not, you’ll need a heavy winter coat by Wednesday! Highs will only warm to the 30s and 40s.

The weather looks much more comfortable by Friday as highs bounce back to the 50s and 60s.
