CLEVELAND — The Cuyahoga County Public Library system made several announcements regarding expansion on limitiations, as the organization slowly returns to normal amid the pandemic.

Among the announcements Thursday, the Cuyahoga County Public Library said its public meeting rooms will be open starting July 5. Meeting rooms can be used for cultural, civic, intellectual and informal educational engagement and can be booked online up to 90 days in advance.

Artists can also begin utilizing the library system’s Innovation Center and recording studios starting July 5.

The Innovation Centers are located at the Garfield Heights, Mayfield and Parma-Snow branches. The centers are intended for those needing software, emerging technologies and production equipment, including 3D printers. The centers’ equipment is free to use, but there is a fee for consumable goods.

The record studios are located at the Garfield Heights, South Euclid-Lyndhurst, Strongsville and Warrensville Heights branches. The studios are also open for free and allow recording artists to make their own tracks, green screen videos, podcasts or audiobook recordings.

Starting July 1, all 27 branches will resume accepting book donations, the library announced.

The library added that it will continue to offer virtual storytime events for the foreseeable future. In-person programs and storytimes are set to resume in the fall, the library said.

More information on the library’s COVID-19 protocols are available on its website.
