COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Kyle Rittenhouse is planning to atten Blinn College in the fall, not Texas A&M.

On Friday Rittenhouse told radio host Charlie Kirk that he’s headed to school at Texas A&M in College Station, but that doesn’t appear to be the case, according to a report from the Houston Chronicle.

Rittenhouse was charged with homicide, attempted homicide and reckless endangering for killing two men and wounding a third with an AR-style semi-automatic rifle in the summer of 2020 during a tumultuous night of protests over the shooting of a Black man, Jacob Blake, by a white Kenosha, Wisconsin, police officer.

In November 2021, he was acquitted of all charges.

The Houston Chronicle on Sunday confirmed with a Texas A&M spokeswoman that Rittenhouse has not been admitted as a student for the fall semester. The fall enrollment period ended in March.

“I’m gonna be going there, and it’s gonna be awesome,” Rittenhouse told Kirk.

Earlier this year, Rittenhouse, 19, expressed interest in attending Texas A&M following a campus visit.

He posted on Instagram a picture of himself in an oversized maroon “Howdy” chair with the caption, “I’m thinking about staying.”

Rittenhouse also tweeted a photo along with a message stating, “Being at ASU has been good, but being an Aggie might be better…?!”

He was taking online classes at Arizona State University when his trial began. He later withdrew his enrollment from the school.
