It’s a messy morning in NE Ohio with lake-effect snow showers, but snow tapers off by the afternoon, and like the rest of the state, it is a dry start to the weekend.

Temperatures stay in the lower 40s Friday afternoon. Any plans Friday evening? Conditions are quiet as temperatures drop back to freezing.

This weekend by the numbers

Feels like the lower 20s early Saturday! Bundle up as wind chills are expected to be very cold Saturday morning.

Cloudy skies return during the day Saturday, but the day is dry. Temperatures stay in the 40s for the highs during the afternoon. Bundle up if you have any outdoor plans!

On Sunday, the morning is dry. Look for rain chances to return by Sunday midday and continuing through the afternoon/evening.

Also plan on Sunday being gusty. Wind gusts could reach up to 30-40 mph!

Rain is likely Sunday night into Monday. Some areas could see more of a rain/snow mix overnight as temperatures drop to freezing.
