OHIO — Former President Donald Trump is coming to Ohio on June 26 to hold a “Save America” rally, according to a press release.

The event will take place at the Lorain County Fairgrounds in Wellington on June 26, where Trump plans to talk about the “support of candidates and causes that further the MAGA agenda and accomplishments of President Trump’s administration,” the release states.

The Save America PAC said the rally will be in support of Max Miller, who Trump endorsed in Ohio’s 16th congressional district race to unseat incumbent GOP Rep. Anthony Gonzalez. Gonzalez was among a small group of Republicans who voted in favor of impeaching Trump earlier this year.

The rally will start at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 2 p.m. Tickets are available.

Trump said in May he’d be visiting Ohio and other key battleground states.

“We’ll be doing one in Florida, we’re going to do one in Ohio, we’re going to do one in North Carolina,” Trump told right-wing outlet One America News last month.

The last time the former president gathered with supporters was Jan. 6 at a “Stop the Steal” event, which took place immediately before the deadly riot at the U.S. Capitol.

For the most part, Trump has stayed out of the public eye. He gave a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando in February. Trump met with Republican donors at an RNC retreat in April and has been popping up at weddings and fundraisers held at his Mar-A-Lago resort in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The Ohio Democratic Party responded to the announcement of his visit on Twitter.

“Trump spent 4 years betraying Ohio workers & now that our economy is back on track thx to Dem leadership, Ohio families are looking forward not back. The only Ohioans a Trump visit will help are the GOP candidates who can save on travel expenses to FL to kiss his ring in person,” the organization wrote.
