High pressure centered over the mid-Atlantic Coast continues to pump up plenty of heat and humidity across the Ohio Valley. Temperatures will continue to slowly climb to start the new week with many areas in the state seeing highs near 90 degrees and the heat index approaching 95 degrees.

Meanwhile, a slow moving front which has been hovering just northwest of Ohio will move closer to the state the next few days. This will help increase the threat for showers and storms.

The greatest chance for rain will be Wednesday and Thursday as the front finally moves across Ohio. Temperatures will finally cool behind the front by Thursday and Friday.

The rainiest days this week look like Wednesday and Thursday as a cold front comes in. Friday and the start of the weekend will have more scattered wet weather and significantly cooler temperatures in the 70s!
