The heat continues across the Ohio Valley as temperatures once again soared into the 80s late Sunday. However, changes will slowly take place as we head into the new week.

What You Need To Know

  • Temperatures to stay unseasonably warm to start the week
  • Isolated showers and storms Monday
  • A cold front on Wednesday brings the best rain chances in a week and cooler air to the state

A cold front just north of Ohio is slowly going to sag into the state bringing with it a chance for a few pop-up showers and storms Sunday evening.

The front will stall draped from northwest Ohio to east-central Ohio on Monday which is where the best chances for rain will be Monday afternoon. South of the front, temperatures will remain in the middle to upper 80s. It will be a bit cooler north of the front in northeastern Ohio where highs will hold in the lower 80s.

After a mostly dry and hot day Tuesday, another stronger cold front will cross the region Wednesday. This will bring the best rain chances to the Buckeye state in over a week. Temperatures will also cool back closer to normal with highs falling back into the 70s as yet another front crosses the state on Friday.

Cooling Down To Start Memorial Day Weekend

Toward the end of the week, temperatures will drop closer to normal for this time of year across Ohio.
