COLUMBUS, Ohio — Sen. Kamala Harris has canceled her upcoming trips to Ohio and North Carolina after two individuals in the campaign tested positive for COVID-19.

One of them is a non-staff flight crew member and the other is Liz Allen, Harris’ communications director. Both tested positive Thursday night.

The campaign says Harris wasn’t in close contact prior to the positive tests and won’t be quarantining, but out of caution, she will be cancelling all trips until Sunday. Instead, she plans to hold virtual events.

Vice President Joe Biden was also not in close contact with the individuals.

The campaign is currently contract tracing and alerting those who may have come into contact during the infection window.
