As a weak cold front moved through the state Sunday afternoon, showers and even a few strong thunderstorms pushed south. These will diminish as the night wears on, although a few lake effect showers and sprinkles cannot be ruled out long the lake.
Monday starts off clear to partly cloudy with cooler-than-average temperatures and light winds. The afternoon will see many of us top out in the mid to upper 70s. The mild start to the week will give way to slowly increasing temperatures by Wednesday, with a slight chance of a shower or rumble Thursday.
Missing the heat? 80s and even low 90s are in the forecast by next weekend, with increasing humidity and a slight chance of storms.
