While it won’t be nearly as hot this week, more showers and storms are in the forecast across Ohio.

What You Need To Know

  • Showers and storms are likely nearly all week along
  • Temperatures will be warm, but not hot
  • A few strong to severe storms are possible

After a bit of a break over the weekend with northerly winds and most areas staying dry, we’re ushering in yet again a southern flow on Monday, which will start the trend of warmer temperatures, higher humidity levels and a chance of showers and storms.

With a large area of high pressure off the East Coast, the Gulf of Mexico “moisture train” is open, allowing us to get continual showers and storms all week long.

While widespread severe weather isn’t as potent looking as last week, we could certainly see some storms containing heavy rain, gusty winds and some hail.

All of the recent rains will increase the chance of flash flooding as well — statewide.

Temperatures will also increase, although to not nearly the extent they did last week. Most of Ohio will stay close to average, which this time of year is the low to mid-80s.

Finally, a cold front to our west move in and help break the pattern as we head into next weekend, drying us out.
