After weeks of unseasonably cool air, we are heading straight into summer!

What You Need To Know

  • Isolated showers and storms possible through tonight
  • Stretch of 80s, some cities could push 90
  • Dew points will increase, making it feel more like July

Mixed skies are expected through the day today with a pop up shower or storm possible especially in western Ohio. As the heat builds, we could see a summer storm today.

Temperatures top off in the 80s for most of the state.

Showers/storms fade by early tonight, and skies are partly cloudy through the overnight hours with mild lows in the lower 60s.

The rest of the weekend the heat continues to build and the humidity increases as well. Highs feel and look like summer with highs in the mid to upper 80s with some cities reaching 90 for the first time this year!

Also our pattern is mainly dry Thursday and Friday with mostly sunny conditions. Next best chance of wet weather will be on Sunday as our frontal system arrives into the state.

If you are opening up your pool this weekend, it will be a nice chance to cool off.

Cicada Watch

Sightings continue this week, and a lot of the cicadas will pop with this huge warm up. The 80s warm the ground soil.
