Hot and humid weather continues this afternoon. High temperatures will be in the high 80s to low 90s, but the feels like temperature will be in the mid to upper 90s! Be sure to stay cool today.
We will be quiet for a good part of the afternoon with showers and storms developing later tonight. A cold front to the northwest will make an attempt to drop southeast into the weekend. Ahead of this front will be a more favorable environment for a few strong storms tonight. The main concern would be for some gusty winds and areas of locally heavy rain. Widespread severe weather is not likely as storms are expected to weaken through the overnight.
Scattered showers and storms continue through Friday and Saturday thanks to that slow moving front. Highs will be in the 70s and 80s both days due to the cloud cover and increased rain coverage. Rain amounts over the weekend will be highest across northwest Ohio. Some cities there could pick up 2″+ in locally high rain totals! Elsewhere rain amounts will generally be 0.5″ or less.
High pressure builds in Sunday and will stick around through the early part of the week! This means sunshine with afternoon highs in the low 80s. Enjoy!
