After a very warm but mainly dry weekend, shower and thunderstorm chances really ramp up as we head into this upcoming week.

What You Need To Know

  • Scattered storms move into southwest Ohio by Sunday evening
  • Statewide rain and storms likely all week long
  • Severe weather chances are low, but not zero

Temperatures will start off Monday morning in the 70s, with clouds thickening up and light southwest winds keeping us on the warm and muggy side. With a upper level low to our south and high pressure well to our southeast, we’re in prime position to stay warm and humid all next week.

The challenge this presents us, is that we’ll see more pop-up and scattered storms each and every day. While some areas may get rain Monday through Friday, others may see occasional storms.

Wednesday may be the rainiest day of the week, however.

Beyond that, the chances of severe weather are low as well. There just isn’t enough instability to create a big outbreak. That said, we’ll of course be watching for any storms that break that rule, with heavy rain and some gusty winds.

Temperatures will remain very close to average for this time of year, with most areas on either side of 80 degrees all week long.
