If a mild Christmas was on your list this year, you will be very happy on Christmas morning.

What You Need To Know

  • Rain moves in Christmas Eve night through Christmas Day
  • Highs will be close to records in some spots on Christmas Day
  • Sunday daytime is dry before more rain comes in Sunday night through Monday

Highs on Christmas Eve will be above average in the upper 40s in the north to upper 50s in the south.

Average highs for Dec. 25 are in the upper 30s and lower 40s.

This year we are looking at highs in the 50s and middle 60s.

Take a look at our current records for Christmas Day. Some of them date back to 1893!

Travel on Christmas Eve for the daytime will be dry.

Rain will move in late Christmas Eve and go through Christmas night.

Look at furturecast on Saturday afternoon. Rain looks most widespread north.

Temperatures will be above average for the entire weekend, so that is good news for travel.

While we stay mild, the pattern will stay active and rainy for the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day.
