“It’s something we look forward to every week. It puts an exclamation point at the end of the week and snow trails does an amazing job for snow around here,” said Eric Clark, the family patriarch.

The Clarks spend six to seven hours snowboarding every Sunday.

The children have been snowboarding for most of their lives.

“It’s a good time to bond with your parents and your family,” said Connor, who is the oldest son.

With Sunday being one the snowiest days we’ve had this winter, the Clarks were even more excited for their weekly outing.

“It gives you something to look forward to. Instead of dreading the snow, you smile every time you get those forecasts,” Eric Clark said.

The Clarks weren’t the only ones enjoying the weather. Snow trails were at full capacity on Sunday.

Matthew Edwards and his wife were teaching their 5 1/2-year-old twins how to ski for the first time.

“We are just enjoying the weather. It’s great to get out on actual snow, and teaching the boys to ski and we are excited to get them on a slope. We are hoping they will have an enjoyable day,” Edwards said.

Even though the Edwards boys are twins, their father explained that both have very different feelings about their first day on the slope.

“One of them is a daredevil so he’s ready to go down the black slope already and the other one is a bit more timid so he’s ready to go home and have a hot chocolate,” Edwards said.
