Wow it’s been very hot and humid starting off the week, but we’ll start to track some changes through the second half as a cold front approaches today, bringing rain and storm chances.
A few showers pop up before lunchtime as temperatures warm to the mid-80s by 12 p.m. today. After, midday storms develop, fueled by warm temperatures and all this humidity. Storms this afternoon are scattered but could become strong to severe with gusty winds and heavy rainfall. Downpours are likely with storms due to all the moisture in the air.
Temperatures push the upper 80s to lower 90s today.
Areas to watch for severe weather today will be in northern Ohio, especially with a slight risk for Cleveland.
Scattered storms continue into the evening hours and overnight.
