Imagine the possibilities for a city if its workforce reflected the diversity of its population. That’s the goal of Donald Rice, Akron’s new cabinet-level Director of Human Resources, who says he’s ready for the challenge.
He said he was given just one directive from Akron Mayor Daniel Horrigan.
“He said to me, ‘I want the city’s workforce to look like the city as a whole,’” Rice said.
