Warm, muggy conditions return

Another very warm and muggy evening is in store all across Ohio, with any leftover showers and rumbles coming to an end overnight.

Sunday starts off quiet (a few areas of fog once again not out of the question) with increasing late morning clouds. More widespread showers and storms are once again likely, with areas of gusty winds and heavy downpours possible. Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s, although added humidity will make it feel like the low 90s.

Monday: a “game-changing” cold front moves in, giving the entire state widespread shower and thunderstorm chances. A few strong to severe storms are not out of the question either. More rain also means cooler temperatures; generally low to mid-80s, with 70s in store by Wednesday.

Wednesday also brings us a chance of heavy rain from what will be the remnants of Ida. Areas south of I-70, and especially those areas along the West Virginia border could see 2-4″+ by Thursday morning. We’ll continue to monitor as we get closer to landfall and fine-tune the storm’s track.
