CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — Many Cleveland Heights residents can cast votes on Tuesday, Sept. 14 in a nonpartisan primary election that narrows a list of four mayoral candidates down to two.
Candidates running for Cleveland Heights mayor are Barbara Danforth, Melody Joy Hart, Josephine Moore and Kahlil Seren.
On Tuesday, Nov. 2, residents will elect the first mayor in Cleveland Heights’ 100-year history, replacing a city manager form of government
With nearly 45,000 residents, Cleveland Heights has 33,964 registered voters, according to the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.
For this primary, of 2,343 voters who requested mail-in ballots, 1,223 have returned them so far, the BOE said.
Early in-person voting will be open through the weekend at the Board of Elections, 2925 Euclid Ave. in Cleveland. Early in-person voting takes place at the following days and time:
- Saturday, Sept. 11: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Sunday, Sept. 12: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Monday, Sept. 13: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Cuyahoga County polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.

- Deborah Delisle Educational Options Center, 14780 Superior Road — Precincts: 3B 4A 4B 4D
- St Paul’s Episcopal Church, 2747 Fairmount Blvd. — Precincts: 1A 1E 1F
- Fairfax Elementary School, 3150 Fairfax Road — Precincts: 2B 2E
- Canterbury Elementary School, 2530 Canterbury Road — Precincts: 2A 2C 2D
