COLUMBUS, Ohio — A woman is dead after being struck by a vehicle in south Columbus Monday afternoon.
According to Columbus police, the crash happened around 12:45 p.m. near the intersection of Alum Creek Drive and Winslow Drive.
Police at the scene said the woman got off a COTA bus on Alum Creek Drive and went to cross the street at a crosswalk when a pickup truck hit her.

The woman was taken to Grant Medical Center where she later died around 1:30 p.m.
The driver of the pickup truck is cooperating with police. Police believe the driver of the pickup truck was not impaired.
Alum Creek Drive was shut down but has reopened as of 3 p.m.
