Browns Fans Remain Positive After Playoff Loss

CLEVELAND — Bars in downtown Cleveland were as packed as they could be, given social distancing protocols, with fans who were excited to cheer on the Browns.

Chris Kato was one of the fans eagerly watching the game with his friends Sunday afternoon.

“I’ve been a fan of the Browns since I was born, so 25 years ago, so this is the best season ever,” he said.

Kato said even though the Browns lost to the Kansas City Chiefs, he is still proud of the season the team had.

“I love the Browns,” he said. “I love the culture, I love the city, and I love how everyone is just a diehard loyal Browns fan.”

Despite the loss, many Browns fans, like John Abrams, already have their sights set on next season.

“From this year, they can only improve,” Abrams said. “I mean, they have so much potential. I’m so proud that they made it this far. It hurts that they lost, but it’s the Chiefs.”

And fans like Joe Belavich are hopeful for even more success in 2021.

“They really did try, but next year,” he said. “I think we got them!”
