OHIO — High pressure off the East Coast will continue to pump up unseasonably mild air into Ohio through the rest of the weekend and into early next week.

What You Need To Know

  • Temperatures to remain well above average to start the new week
  • Drought conditions develop across parts of western Ohio
  • Cold front to bring needed rain Tuesday night into Wednesday
  • Cooler air arrives to end the week

High temperatures will remain around 10 to 15 degrees above normal through Tuesday before changes arrive midweek.

A cold front will slowly move out of the Northern and Central Plains and into the Ohio Valley by late Tuesday into Wednesday.

This system will bring some much needed rainfall to much of Ohio, but likely not nearly enough to end moderate drought conditions which have developed in western Ohio. Showers will become likely late Tuesday night and continue into midday Wednesday before tapering off from west to east that afternoon.

Cooler air will filter in behind the front, sending temperatures back to normal for the second half of the week.
