It will feel like 98 to 100 degrees this afternoon with the heat index.
We are still a few days away from breaking out of this heat wave so the weekend will be very warm and humid still.
Scattered showers and storms that develop this afternoon will have the same concerns as previous days — heavy downpours from storms that are not moving and may be stationary at times.
As we have also seen, some isolated stronger storms are possible in the afternoon hours.
Storms will diminish after sunset.
Expect more 90s this weekend with scattered storms.
A cold front on Monday will bring in rain beginning Sunday night but it will also cool temperatures down Tuesday through Thursday.
Still watching tropical storms entering the Gulf. This could bring in heavy rainfall Tuesday or Wednesday but we don’t have a clear picture yet.
We do know temperatures in the upper 70s look likely on Wednesday and Thursday.
