Summer heat to stick around into new week

Pop-up showers and storms developed in eastern Ohio as some of the very outer bands of Tropical Storm Henri stretched west into the region. These showers will dissipate with the loss of daytime heating late Sunday with a warm and muggy night expected.

Some patchy areas of fog will be possible the next few nights as the higher humidity remains in the area.

Temperatures will continue to be very summer-like as we start the new week with highs reaching into the lower 90s each day.

Most of the state will remain dry until a frontal boundary approaches the area by Wednesday into Thursday.
