CINCINNATI, Ohio — Two more Cincinnati Bengals are being added to its Ring of Honor.
Quarterback Ken Anderson and cornerback Ken Riley join former owner Paul Brown and offensive lineman Anthony Munoz as the inaugural Ring of Honor class.

The four will be inducted during halftime of the Sept. 30 Thursday Night Football game between the Bengals and the Jaguars. The Bengals will also celebrate the 40th anniversary of its 1981 Super Bowl appearance during a pregame ceremony.
Anderson and Riley were selected by a fan vote.
In a statement Bengals President Mike Brown, the son of Paul, said, “We have a long history of players, many of them great players. Ken Anderson and Ken Riley are at the top of that list of great players. They were the type of players that we like to think our team is all about. I am pleased they are the top picks of the fans.”
Anderson played 16 seasons with the Bengals, the most by any Cincinnati player. He was a four-time Pro-Bowler who played in 192 games, highlighted by taking the Bengals to their first Super Bowl and winning the NFL MVP title in 1981.
Anderson said of the honor, “The Bengals organization is very special to me, and I’m so proud to be a part of the inaugural class. We have a great football tradition. It’s one of winning, it’s one of playing hard. That goes back to the Paul Brown days. I’m glad that can be recognized. I think back to those days because I think those days are coming again.”
Cornerback Riley had 65 career interceptions and he’s currently fifth on the list of most all-time picks. Riley played in 207 games, a Bengals record, and is the only defender in team history to play 15 seasons. He still holds the team record for interception return yards (596) and interceptions returns for touchdowns (5).

Riley died of a heart attack on June 7, 2020. He was 72 years old.
“The Ring of Honor is the Mount Rushmore for the Bengals. It’s incredible for my father to be included in the inaugural class,” said Riley’s son, Ken Riley II. “To be recognized by the fans, that makes it even more special. My father would receive so much love every time he came back to Cincinnati, and to have them vote him in makes it that much sweeter.”
The Bengals Ring of Honor will live on the East facade inside Paul Brown Stadium.
